About the player
Amine Et-Taïbi was born in Belgium and built his early career there, coming through the youth ranks at KV Mechelen before joining KRC Genk in 2016, where he signed his first professional contract in December 2018 and extended it three years later. He represented Belgium at youth level through the U19s, then switched to represent Morocco at U20 and U23 level.
After working through Jong Genk, Et-Taïbi moved to Club NXT, Club Brugge's reserve side, on a free transfer in July 2023. He was registered with Brugge's first-team squad and made his senior debut in the 2024 Belgian Super Cup. In August 2025 he returned to where his career began, signing for KV Mechelen on a free transfer on a two-year deal with an option for a third. He did not stay to play for them, though: Mechelen sent him straight back out on loan to Helmond Sport for the 2025–26 season.
That loan spell was short-lived. In January 2026, Et-Taïbi left Mechelen again, this time for a permanent switch to Willem II for a reported fee of €650,000, signing a contract to 2028 with a further option year attached. A right-footed defender comfortable at both right-back and centre-back, he arrived at Willem II having yet to add full international recognition to his underage caps for Morocco.
