About the player
Andrey Korol joined the Metalist 1925 system as a teenager and has spent most of his development inside the club's youth structure. During the early stages of the full-scale war, he spent a period with Elche's youth academy in Spain before returning to Kharkiv. He has since progressed through Metalist 1925's U19 side and the reserve team.
His breakthrough into senior football came in the Ukrainian Cup, where he was brought on as a substitute against Oleksandria, wearing the number 88 shirt. He has yet to add further first-team appearances beyond that outing and continues to be registered primarily with the U19 squad. He has not featured for any Ukraine youth or senior national side.
Korol signed a contract with the club running to the summer of 2028, tying him to the project in Kharkiv for the coming years as he looks to establish himself beyond the odd cup appearance.
