About the player
Ante Udovičić came through Rudeš's own academy, working his way up through the club's youth sides, from the U17 group in the Pioniri league to the U19 team. Before he ever featured for the seniors, he had already put his name on a scoresheet: in May 2024 he scored for the Rudeš U19s in a match against Istra 1961. The following month he signed his first professional contract with the club.
His breakthrough to the first team came in the 2026/2027 season, when Rudeš began including him in the matchday squad for fixtures against some of Croatia's biggest clubs, among them Hajduk Split, Lokomotiva and Dinamo Zagreb. He has mostly featured as a substitute in these games, still waiting for a regular starting role against opposition of that calibre.
Zagreb-born, Udovičić has not represented any club other than Rudeš, having joined the academy without a prior spell elsewhere. He is yet to add a senior trophy or individual award to his name, with his career still at an early stage.
