Artur Cherny

Artur Cherny came through Lokomotiv Moscow's academy, having started out at the "Yunost" sports school in his native Vladikavkaz before moving into the Lokomotiv system in 2017. He worked his way up through the club's reserve side, Lokomotiv-Kazanka, and was promoted to the senior squad in 2019. His time in the Russian Premier League with the club amounted to a handful of appearances rather than a settled run, though he did pick up an assist along the way and was part of the squad credited as a winner of the Russian Cup, even without featuring in that campaign himself.

A free transfer took him to Khimki in July 2022, where he made 11 top-flight appearances in his first season. The following year he was loaned out to Zenit-2, Zenit St Petersburg's reserve team, spending the 2023/2024 season in the Second League Division B and making 26 appearances there. He returned to Khimki for the start of 2024/2025, but stayed only briefly before leaving on a free transfer that July for Shinnik Yaroslavl.

Shinnik is where Cherny has settled into a regular role. He has made 30 appearances in his first season at the club and has continued to feature for Shinnik into the following seasons, adding further appearances in both the league and the Russian Cup as the club's defender wearing the number 27 shirt.
