About the player
Bence Bíró scored eight goals in 21 appearances for Hungary's Under-21 side. He also won 3 caps at Under-18 level and 9 at Under-19, where he scored 3 goals. He has not yet played for the senior national team.
His route there was unusual for a Hungarian forward. He came through several Budapest academies, starting at Ferencváros and moving on to MTK Hungária and Honvéd. In 2016 he left for Portugal and joined Vitória Guimarães B. He stayed four years and played 50 league games for the second team, scoring twice.
He returned to Hungary in 2020 on a free transfer to MTK Budapest. His most productive early season at senior level came on loan at Pécs in 2021–22. He played 37 league matches there and scored 6 goals.
In July 2022 he signed for Szeged-Csanád Grosics Akadémia. Over two seasons he made 63 league appearances and scored 15 goals.
Kisvárda signed him in July 2024, when the club was playing in the second division, the NB II. In his first season there he made 26 league appearances and scored once. His total for the club stands at 57 league appearances and 8 goals. He is right-footed and has not won a major senior trophy.
