About the player
Bruno Méndez came through at Montevideo Wanderers, making his professional debut in November 2017. His move to Corinthians in February 2019 carried a fee of roughly 3.5 million dollars, a record sale for Wanderers at the time. He was on the runner-up side again in 2020 and 2021.
A loan spell took him to Internacional between June 2021 and June 2022. He returned to Corinthians to see out his contract before leaving as a free agent in December 2023 to join Granada in Spain.
Méndez's international career began at youth level, representing Uruguay at the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup, and he has since gone on to earn caps for the senior national side. He signed for Toluca on a free transfer from Granada in July 2024.
