About the player
Christopher Rogers grew up in New Albany, Ohio, and joined the Columbus Crew Academy in 2016.
His path to the professional game ran through Columbus Crew 2, the club's MLS NEXT Pro reserve side. Rogers signed with Crew 2 on an amateur agreement in March 2023 and made his debut later that month, before signing his first professional contract with the club in March 2024. Over four seasons with the reserve team he made 80 appearances, 74 of them starts, scoring three goals and adding five assists. He captained Crew 2 in 2025.
In August 2026 Rogers moved on, transferring to Swedish Superettan side Sandvikens IF on a contract running through 2028. The fee was not disclosed, though Columbus Crew kept a sell-on percentage and a buy-back clause. He had also been included on Columbus Crew's senior MLS roster that same month, even as his football continued to be played mostly with the reserve side.
He has yet to earn a senior cap for the United States.
