Casemiro

Casemiro's path to Real Madrid's midfield began informally, playing as a forward on the streets of his hometown before joining São Paulo FC's youth academy, where he captained the under-17 side to the FIFA Club World Cup for youth teams. He made his first-team debut for São Paulo at 18 and stayed with the club until a move to Real Madrid.

At Real Madrid, initially loaned to Castilla, he was signed permanently before a season on loan at Porto. Porto held an option to buy him outright, but Real Madrid paid a penalty to cancel the clause and bring him back.

His transfer to Manchester United carried a fee in the region of £60 million plus add-ons. He picked up the Alan Hardaker Trophy during his time at the club before later moving on to Inter Miami on a free transfer.

For Brazil, Casemiro has earned 91 caps and scored 10 goals, featuring at three World Cups and four editions of the Copa América. He lifted the Copa América once and finished runner-up on a second occasion.
