Kobi Ebere

Twenty goals in thirty-eight appearances for the Everton under-18s in the 2023–24 season was the season that put Kobi Ebere on the map. It came seven years after he had left Germany for England at eleven to join the Everton academy, and two years after he signed his first professional contract at the club in September 2022.

Moved into the under-21 squad in July 2024, Ebere made thirty-three appearances across Premier League 2, the EFL Trophy and the National League Cup, scoring twice and setting up three more. The senior side came within touching distance once: he was named as an unused substitute against Crystal Palace in February 2025, and never made a competitive appearance for the first team. Everton extended his contract that July, tying him to the club until June 2027.

He did not stay that long. In June 2026 Ebere joined FK Čukarički of the Serbian SuperLiga on a three-year deal, the fee undisclosed — reported variously as a free transfer or as compensation reflecting his age and contract status. It is the first senior football of his career.

Ebere, whose full name is Okezije Chibuike Kobi Ebere and who also appears in records as Coby Ebere, holds German and Nigerian citizenship and is eligible for Germany, England and Nigeria. He has not represented any of them at youth level, and has yet to win a senior cap. The club lists him at 190 cm; Telegraf.rs and Transfermarkt have him at 187.
