Delano Asante

Delano Asante's route to the professional game ran through The Hague's amateur circuit rather than a traditional academy. Born in the city, he came up through HV & CV Quick, where he had trials at ADO Den Haag and Sparta Rotterdam without earning a place at either, and instead built his game in the Derde Divisie, making his senior debut there in the 2019/2020 season.

He joined Rijnsburgse Boys in the Tweede Divisie on a free transfer in July 2020. He stayed five seasons, scoring 23 goals and providing 21 assists across all competitions as a right winger.

In January 2024, while still under contract at Rijnsburgse Boys, Asante signed with Quick Boys — a move that triggered a dispute with the KNVB, which fined him 10,000 euros. He never played a competitive match for Quick Boys and saw out his contract at Rijnsburgse Boys instead.

In July 2025, Asante left the amateur ranks behind for MVV Maastricht in the Eerste Divisie, signing a two-year deal with an option for a third season. He has represented the Netherlands at U15 level.
