Daniel Dumbrăvanu

Daniel Dumbrăvanu was born in Bălți. He joined Zaria Bălți's academy and won the Moldovan Cup with the club as a youth player in 2017, without featuring in the final. A year later he moved to Genoa, where he progressed through the academy and made his senior debut in the Coppa Italia against Juventus in January 2021.

What followed was a string of loans rather than a settled run in Genoa's first team: spells at Pescara, Lucchese, Siena, APOEL and Messina took him through Italy and Cyprus before he left permanently for SPAL in July 2022. Two years later he signed for Lucchese outright, only to move on again in August 2025 when CFR Cluj signed him and immediately sent him out on loan to FC Voluntari for the current season, where he has made 19 appearances.

Dumbrăvanu earned his first cap for Moldova on 31 March 2021 against Israel and has gone on to collect 12 caps for the national side. He was also part of the CFR Cluj squad that finished runner-up in the 2025 Supercupa României, though he did not play in the final.
