About the player
Diego Luna spent four years in Venezuela and made 37 appearances before a loan took him to Spain's RSD Alcalá in 2020. He returned home for spells at Zamora and Caracas, building the profile that took him to Europe again in February 2024, when Baltika Kaliningrad signed him for a reported fee of €250,000. He made two appearances during a loan to Khimki that August before his contract with Baltika was terminated in December 2025. He joined Zhetysu as a free agent this April.
Internationally, Luna represented Venezuela at youth level, earning eight caps and scoring once for the under-17 side in 2017, when he took part in the South American U17 Championship. That year he also won a bronze medal with the Venezuelan youth team at the Bolivarian Games. He later added a single appearance for the under-20 side.
