E. Gürbüz

Eser Gürbüz made his professional debut for SC Heerenveen on 1 February 2025 against Fortuna Sittard, coming on as a substitute in the 64th minute and scoring in the 82nd, assisted by Alireza Jahanbakhsh, in a match that finished 2-2. A second goal followed against FC Twente, struck in stoppage time in a 3-3 draw, at the age of 17 years and 340 days.

Born in Arnhem, Gürbüz is a right winger of Turkish descent. He started out at FC Presikhaaf and SC Veluwezoom before a spell at SML Arnhem, then spent three years in the Go Ahead Eagles academy. He moved to Heerenveen in April 2023 on a free transfer, signing a three-year contract, and was promoted to the first team in January 2025.

His form drew interest from Fenerbahçe in early 2025, but he stayed put after advice from his former youth coach, who by then was working at Heerenveen. His contract was extended to 2027 in November 2024, and later pushed further out to June 2029. In July 2026, Heerenveen sent him out on a free loan to Willem II for the 2026-27 season, running until June 2027, while his contract at Heerenveen remains in place.

At youth international level, Gürbüz has been a regular for the Netherlands, collecting ten caps and a goal for the under-17s, six appearances for the under-18s, and nine caps with a goal for the under-19s, including one in a 7-1 win over Cyprus in November 2025.
