About the player
Eduard Valiakhmetov came through the youth ranks at Ural Yekaterinburg and made his top-flight debut for the club in the Russian Premier League in May 2016. He spent the following years with Ural-2 in the Second League and the Youth League before joining FC Chelyabinsk in February 2020, where he featured across the Second League and the First League.
His career since has been built on free transfers rather than fees. He joined Baltika Kaliningrad in July 2022, then moved on to Shinnik Yaroslavl in August 2023, playing in the First League. He moved to Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk in July 2024. He returned to Shinnik in July 2026, signing a one-year contract, again as a free agent.
Valiakhmetov has scored in recent matches for both clubs, netting for Neftekhimik against Rodina in 2025 and for Shinnik against Rotor Volgograd in September 2026. He has not been capped by Russia at any level, and his career to date has not brought a major team title or individual award.
