Felipe Sanchez came through the academy at Atletico Rafaela before moving on to Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata in 2021.
In July 2024, Schalke 04 brought the Argentine defender to Germany for a fee of around 1.4 million US dollars, with a further 200,000 euros in add-ons tied to promotion to the Bundesliga. He signed through to June 2028. Sanchez was part of the Schalke squad that won the 2. Bundesliga title in the 2025/26 season.
His time in Gelsenkirchen was brief. In 2026, Sanchez moved to Mexico on a season-long loan to Santos Laguna, with an obligation to buy built in after a set number of appearances in the 2026/27 campaign. His market value at the time of the move stood at 800,000 euros.
