Friedrich Müller

Friedrich Müller made his professional debut for Dynamo Dresden on 21 November 2025, coming on in a 2. Bundesliga fixture against VfL Bochum that ended 2-1 to the home side. It was the reward for a path that started far from the Rudolf-Harbig-Stadion, in the village of Burkau near Bischofswerda, where he played for SV Burkau before Dynamo Dresden brought him into the academy in 2018.

He worked his way through the club's youth sides, from the U17s to the U19s and on to the U21s, before signing his first professional contract in September 2024, initially running until the summer of 2027. A year later, with the defender still only 20, Dynamo Dresden moved to tie him down further, announcing an extension to that deal.

At 188 cm, Müller offers height at the back, and he is equally comfortable on either foot. He has already had a taste of international football, called up by Germany's U18s.

He wore the number 42 for his senior bow, a detail that hints at how young the squad's newest defender still is relative to his established teammates. For now, his career is a short one: a contract that Dynamo Dresden clearly see as worth extending early.
