About the player
Nils Fröling was born in Dallas, Texas. He started out at Boo FF, making his senior debut there in Division 5 as a teenager, before a move into Åtvidabergs FF's academy led to first-team football in the Superettan.
A free transfer took him to Hansa Rostock in December 2021, and it was in Germany that Fröling built the bulk of his career, featuring across the 2. Bundesliga, 3. Liga and DFB-Pokal over three and a half seasons. He scored eight goals in the 2. Bundesliga and added six more in the 3. Liga, and he ended his time at the club by winning the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Cup in 2025.
That success preceded another free move, this time to Dynamo Dresden in July 2025. Naturally right-footed, Fröling is often deployed on the left wing rather than through the middle. He has continued to contribute goals in Dresden colours, with three so far in his first season at the club.
At international level, Fröling represented Sweden at both U19 and U21 level, appearing six times for each age group without finding the net.
