About the player
Iker Muñoz Cameros came through Osasuna's academy at Tajonar, arriving in 2018 from CD Oberena after starting out at local sides Falcesino, San Adrián and Milagrés. He spent four years in the B team, Osasuna Promesas, making 62 appearances and scoring three goals before the first-team call came. His La Liga debut arrived on 12 February 2023, a goalless draw away to Real Valladolid, and by the end of that season he was part of the squad that reached the Copa del Rey final, finishing as runners-up. His first senior goal followed the next season, in a 3–2 defeat to Getafe on 17 September 2023.
Since breaking through, Muñoz has become a fixture in Osasuna's midfield, with 78 league appearances and four goals to his name as of May 2026. The club rewarded that progress in September 2024 with a contract extension running to 30 June 2030, attaching a release clause of €20 million — a marker of how the homegrown player is now valued at Tajonar.
