About the player
Elias Rahn's route to Sonnenhof Großaspach ran through Heidenheim's academy, where he progressed from the U17s to the U19s without ever making a senior appearance for the club. When Heidenheim let him go in 2021, Großaspach picked him up on a free transfer.
A loan spell at TSG Backnang in the first half of 2022 briefly interrupted his time at the club, but he returned to Großaspach and established himself as a regular starter. Initially handled by some as a midfielder, he has settled into the role of an attacking right-back, pushing forward from defence within the team's 4-3-3 shape. Rahn was part of the Großaspach side that won the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg title in the 2024/25 season, a championship that took the club up into the Regionalliga Südwest.
He has also featured seven times in the 3. Liga and made one appearance in the DFB-Pokal. In May 2025, with the promotion push under way, he signed a contract extension at Großaspach that runs to the summer of 2027.
