About the player
Jérémy Gélin came through the academy at Stade Rennais and made his professional debut in 2017, going on to make 64 appearances for the first team. He also won the Coupe de France with Rennes in 2018–19.
At youth level, Gélin was part of the France squad that won the 2016 European Under-19 Championship in Germany, beating Italy 4-0 in the final, and he collected caps at U17, U19, U20, U21 and U23 level. He was later named in the France U23 group for the Tokyo Olympics but had to withdraw because of a serious knee injury.
A loan spell at Royal Antwerp in 2020–21 was followed, after his Rennes contract expired, by a free move to Amiens, where he made 59 appearances and scored once. He then left French football for Panserraikos in Greece, but that spell ended prematurely when the club terminated his contract in the summer of 2025 after failing to pay him.
Gélin joined Nancy on a free transfer in November 2025, signing until June 2026 with an option for a further year.
