Joël Emmanuel Coulibaly

Joël Emmanuel Coulibaly moved through a string of local clubs — Stade Français, Boulogne-Billancourt AC, Paris FC, Paris Alesia FC and US Villejuif — before Stade Rennais took him into its academy in July 2020. He worked his way through Rennes' youth ranks and, in 2025, captained the club's U19 side to victory in the Coupe Gambardella, beating Dijon 3–2 in the final. He signed his first professional contract with Rennes that December, agreeing terms until 2028, and trained regularly with the first team while playing for Rennes B.

At international level, Coulibaly has represented France at U16, U17 and U18, and captained the U19s to a 4–0 win over the Faroe Islands in a Euro 2026 qualifier in November 2025, opening the scoring himself. He holds both French and Ivorian nationality.

Despite the contract and the time spent around Rennes' senior squad, an official first-team appearance never came. In July 2026 he left as a free agent, signing a four-year deal with AS Nancy Lorraine. The transfer, made without a fee owed to his training club.
