About the player
Julian van Esdonk came through PSV's academy before moving to Willem II's youth setup in July 2019, working his way up through the club's U19 and U21 sides. In July 2025 he signed his first professional contract, running until the summer of 2027 with an option for a further year.
The 2025/2026 season brought him into contact with the first team without a competitive debut: van Esdonk trained regularly with the senior squad and sat on the bench for several matches as an unused substitute. That changed on 8 August 2026, when he came on for a one-minute cameo away to Go Ahead Eagles in the Eredivisie, a match Willem II lost 4-1.
He has yet to add a senior title or individual honour to his record, with his professional career still at its earliest stage.
