About the player
The move that took Kauê Furkin from Corinthians to Bahia in August 2025 turned on a clause. Bahia paid the release fee written into his Corinthians contract — 14 million reais, estimated at around 2.2–2.4 million euros. Under Brazilian rules, a domestic buyer settles at 2,000 times the player's salary; a foreign club would have faced a figure closer to 50 million euros. Both clubs sit inside the City Group.
In April 2025 he signed his first professional contract with the Corinthians senior side. He trained with the first team through that season and was named in matchday squads for Serie A games against Ceará, Fortaleza and Grêmio, without getting on.
His Serie A debut followed on 5 October 2025. The first professional goal came on 17 January 2026, against Galícia in the Campeonato Baiano. By the 2026 season he had eight Serie A appearances and two goals.
Brazil have called him into the under-17 side for friendlies. Born in Guarulhos, in São Paulo state, he is left-footed and stands 173 cm. He has no individual honours.
