About the player
Kenan Muharemović was born in Ljubljana and holds dual citizenship of Bosnia-Herzegovina and Slovenia. His youth career took him through Austria Klagenfurt before Wolfsberger AC brought him into their academy, and he made the step up to senior football with Wolfsberger AC II, where he made 26 appearances and scored twice.
In July 2024 he moved to Rapid Wien, joining the club's second team, and has since built on that with 25 appearances and two goals for Rapid Wien II. The transfer carried no fee.
A left-footed centre-back standing at 194 cm, Muharemović has the physical profile clubs look for at the back. He has been capped by Bosnia-Herzegovina at both under-17 and under-19 level, featuring four times for the U-17s in 2022 before stepping up to the U-19s, where he added between five and eight caps and several goals across 2023 and 2024. He has not yet been called into a senior international squad.
At club level, his development has so far run entirely through reserve and second-team football, first at Wolfsberg and now at Rapid Wien.
