About the player
Kilian Fischer He started out at TuS Bad Aibling before joining the TSV 1860 Munich academy in 2017, where he captained the under-19 side and went on to make his senior debut for the club's reserve team.
He became a regular there, making 26 league appearances in the 2020–21 season as the club won the Bavarian Cup, though Fischer did not play in the final against Karlsruher SC. That run of form took him to 1. FC Nürnberg in 2021 for a fee of around €100,000, where he featured for both the first team and the reserves.
Wolfsburg paid roughly €2.5 million for him in 2022. He has since become a fixture in their defence, making 61 league appearances and scoring once. Primarily a right-back, he has also been used at left-back and in defensive midfield.
Fischer was called up to the Germany under-21 side, earning seven caps between 2022 and 2023 without scoring, but he has yet to add a senior international appearance to his record.
