Loizos Loizou

Nicosia produced Loizos Loizou, taking him into its youth academy in 2010 and handing him a senior debut in the 2018–19 season. He became a regular starter the following year, and over five seasons at the club made 137 league appearances and scored 21 goals. He was named the division's Young Player of the Year and made the Team of the Year.

Loizou debuted for Cyprus against Montenegro in September 2020 at 17 years, one month and 18 days old, the youngest player ever to do so for the national side. A month later, against the Czech Republic, he became the country's youngest-ever goalscorer. He has since gone on to win 47 caps and score three goals for the senior team.

A loan to SC Heerenveen in the Dutch Eredivisie in January 2024 brought only five appearances before he returned to Omonia. He then left Cyprus for Hapoel Tel Aviv in September 2025, where he scored seven goals in 31 league games in the Israeli Premier League. That form preceded his move to Crvena zvezda in June 2026, where he signed a four-year contract with an option for a fifth. He has made six appearances for the club so far, scoring twice.
