Leonardo José Santos Teixeira

Léo Teixeira came through the youth ranks at Penelense before spells with Porto, União de Coimbra, Académica, Eirense and Tondela. He turned professional at Clube Condeixa in 2018, staying three seasons and scoring five goals in 56 league appearances in the Campeonato de Portugal. A free move to AD Fafe followed in 2021, then another to Varzim SC a year later, where he made 51 league appearances across two seasons split between Liga 3 and Liga Portugal 2.

He joined Felgueiras 1932 in July 2024, again on a free transfer. Across his two seasons at the club he scored six goals in 55 league appearances. His final campaign there, in the 2025/2026 LigaPro season, was a regular one: he played 1,231 minutes across 24 matches, though he also picked up eight yellow cards, the most of any Felgueiras player that season.

Every move of his career to date, from Condeixa through Fafe, Varzim, Felgueiras and now Petrolul, has been a free transfer. Teixeira has not been capped by Portugal at senior or youth level, and his career so far has not brought a major title or individual award, but the switch to Petrolul gives the winger his first test in a league outside Portugal.
