About the player
At the 2022 UEFA European Under-17 Championship, Luka Lijeskić was named the tournament's best goalkeeper after helping Serbia reach the semi-finals. He came through the academy at FK Brodarac and signed senior forms there for the 2022–2023 season, though a first-team debut never came.
In July 2023, at 18, he moved abroad to Belgium's K.A.A. Gent. Across a full season at the club he made no appearances for the first team. He returned to Serbia in 2024, joining Radnički 1923 on a free transfer — he became a regular starter and made his competitive debut for the club in September 2024.
His progress through the Serbia youth setup has been steady, with caps collected at under-15, under-17, under-18, under-19 and under-21 level. In October 2025 he received his first call-up to the senior squad, named among the replacements for Serbia's World Cup 2026 qualifier against Andorra, which Serbia won 3-1.
At Radnički this season he has kept four clean sheets in eight matches, with a save percentage of 77.8 per cent.
