M. Ariya

Miguel Arilla spent three seasons proving himself at Creighton University before HFX Wanderers FC brought him into the Canadian Premier League as a free agent. The winger, born in the Province of Castellón, started out in Valencia CF's youth system, moving through the club's U18, U19 and B sides before a loan spell at Torrent CF took him away from the academy setup. In 2023 he left Spain altogether, choosing college soccer in the United States over a return to the domestic pyramid.

His time with the Creighton Bluejays showed steady improvement. As a freshman he contributed four goals and four assists across 16 appearances, then added four goals and seven assists the following season. In his third year he started 12 matches, scored six goals and set up four more, leading the team in scoring. Across his three campaigns he finished with 14 goals and 15 assists, and, by the club's account, the latest in a run of Creighton alumni to sign for HFX Wanderers.

Arilla signed with the Nova Scotia side on a deal running through the 2026 season, with club options that could extend his stay into 2027 and 2028. A right-footed forward comfortable operating from the wing, he arrives in Halifax with his college career as the main reference point for what he can offer at professional level.
