Sven Zitman

Sven Zitman spent his early years in Feyenoord's academy, having arrived there at age ten after starting out with local amateur side Excelsior '20 in his native Schiedam. He signed his first professional contract with the Rotterdam club in November 2020, but never made a competitive appearance for the first team, and the agreement was terminated by mutual consent in March 2022, leaving him a free agent.

His senior career began at PEC Zwolle later that year, and it was there that he produced the moment he is still associated with. On 19 May 2023, away at Helmond Sport, Zitman scored an injury-time winner in a 3–2 victory, a goal that helped Zwolle secure promotion to the Eredivisie that season. He made 11 Eerste Divisie appearances, scoring once and adding an assist.

He moved on to TOP Oss in 2023 on a two-year deal with a third-year option, and went on to make close to 40 appearances in the Eerste Divisie without finding the net. His contract there ran out in June 2025.

In January 2026, the midfielder signed for HFX Wanderers FC in the Canadian Premier League as a free agent, joining on a deal through the 2026 season with a club option for 2027. He has started the large majority of the matches he has featured in and picked up three yellow cards along the way, though he has yet to score on the Canadian Premier League scoresheet.
