Mama Samba Baldé

Baldé arrived at Sporting CP's academy in 2013 after coming through Recreios Algueirão and SU Sintrense, and spent five years with the club's reserve side. A short stint at Benfica Castelo Branco was followed by two seasons at CD Aves, where he scored 11 league goals in 41 appearances and helped the club lift the Taça de Portugal in 2017–18.

A move to Ligue 1 with Dijon FCO in 2019 marked a significant step. He scored 13 goals in 53 appearances there before Troyes paid around €3.5 million for him in 2021, and over two seasons in the Aube he was the club's most reliable forward, with 15 goals in 64 matches. That form earned him a loan to Olympique Lyonnais in August 2023, with a mandatory buy-option that was triggered the following May and turned into a permanent €6 million transfer that July, with two goals in 20 appearances and a runner-up finish in the Coupe de France.

Brest paid a base fee of around €4.5 million for him in August 2024, and he has since become a regular feature of the squad, scoring four goals in 45 appearances for the club. Internationally, Baldé has represented Guinea-Bissau since his debut against Angola in June 2019, going on to earn 37 caps and seven goals, and featuring at three Africa Cup of Nations tournaments, in 2019, 2021 and 2023.
