M. Uka

Modesta Uka left Kosovo for Austria at 15 without having played for a club at home. She went straight into the youth academy at Sturm Graz.

She came through the youth and reserve sides and made her senior debut in July 2018. By the time she left in July 2025 she had made more than 80 appearances in the ÖFB Frauen-Bundesliga and scored 19 goals. Her contract was not renewed, and she left as a free agent.

Six days into July she signed for Austria Wien on a deal running to June 2027, again on a free transfer. The move brought immediate results. In 2025/26 she was part of the squad that won the club's first Bundesliga title, and the first ÖFB Frauen Cup, with a final victory over FC Red Bull Salzburg on 14 May 2026.

For Kosovo, her international career began with a scoring debut. On 30 August 2019, in a UEFA Women's Euro 2021 qualifier against Turkey, she scored the opening goal in a 2–0 win. She added two more in the same campaign against Estonia. She has since won 23 caps and scored seven goals, among them strikes in World Cup qualifiers against Gibraltar and Croatia.

She has spent her club career in Austria while representing Kosovo, the country she left as a teenager.
