Jonatan Noah Kemeseng Sonko-Sundberg

Noah Sonko-Sundberg is a centre-back who took the long way to Aris Thessaloniki, via Sweden, Bulgaria and Turkey. He came through Enskede IK before joining AIK's academy, and his senior career started at AIK, where he later spent a loan spell at GIF Sundsvall. A move to Östersunds FK in 2018.

In January 2022 he joined Levski Sofia on a free transfer and won the Bulgarian Cup that season. He then moved to Ludogorets Razgrad in 2023 for a reported fee of around €550,000, and lifted the Bulgarian First League title and the Bulgarian Supercup with the club, despite making only 19 appearances for them. A loan took him to Sivasspor in Turkey for the 2024–25 season, scoring twice in 27 games.

Internationally, Sonko-Sundberg represented Sweden at youth level through the U17, U19 and U21 age groups, winning bronze with the U17s at the 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup and featuring for the U21s at the 2016 Summer Olympics. He has earned 18 caps for Gambia, and was part of the squad that reached the quarter-finals of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, later featuring again at the 2023 edition of the tournament.

He joined Aris Thessaloniki on loan in 2025, wearing the number 20 shirt, and made 14 appearances during the spell. Reports have since indicated that Aris activated a mandatory purchase clause, with the transfer fee estimated between €500,000 and €800,000, though some records still list him as on loan from Ludogorets.
