N. Vasiliev

Nikita Vasilyev came through Rubin Kazan's academy after being spotted at a selection festival at the age of six, and he stayed with the club through his entire youth career. He made his senior debut for Rubin in a Russian Cup tie against Akron Tolyatti, and followed it with his first Russian Premier League appearance against Pari Nizhny Novgorod. Alongside his senior involvement, he was a regular for Rubin-2 in the Russian Second League, scoring six goals across two seasons there, and he also featured for the Russia U-20 side, scoring once in two caps.

In June 2026 Vasilyev moved to FK Neftekhimik on loan for the new season, joining the squad in Nizhnekamsk in early August following a partnership agreement between the two clubs. Wearing number 96, he has found regular starts hard to come by: the coach's defensive 5-3-2 setup has not suited him, and he has frequently been substituted during matches. He has made nine First League appearances and one Cup appearance for Neftekhimik, recording a goal and an assist along the way.

A right-footed midfielder from Kazan, Vasilyev had attracted interest from Spartak Moscow during his youth years but chose to continue his development at Rubin.
