About the player
Nahki Wells shares Bermuda's all-time scoring record with Shaun Goater. He has 20 goals in 31 caps, and one of those games was a hat-trick against Dominica in the 2024 CONCACAF Nations League. His first cap came in 2007.
His club career started at home with Dandy Town Hornets and Bermuda Hogges. He then moved to England and worked upwards from non-league football with Eccleshill United. A few months at Carlisle United in 2011 preceded his move that July to Bradford City.
Injuries interrupted that period: a hip problem in 2012 and ankle ligament damage in 2013.
In January 2014 Huddersfield Town signed him for a reported fee of more than £1.3 million, a club record at the time. Burnley paid £5 million for him in August 2017. His time there was split by two loan seasons at Queens Park Rangers, in 2018–19 and 2019–20. In January 2020 he scored against Leeds United in a goal that drew considerable argument.
He later joined Bristol City, and he is now with Luton.
