About the player
Nikica Peranović came up through Zagreb football, starting out with NK Inter-Zaprešić before moving into the youth ranks at NK Rudeš for the 2022/23 season. The club committed to him long-term, tying him to a senior contract running until 2027. That debut came on 9 May 2025 in the Prva NL, when he was sent on as a substitute in the 16th minute away at HNK Cibalia in a match Rudeš lost 3-1. Two further substitute appearances followed before the end of that season, against NK Dubrava Tim Kabel and NK Sesvete.
Rudeš sent the young right-back out on loan. A second loan followed for 2026/27, this time to NK Radnik Križevci, though minutes there were harder to come by: four league appearances and a single cup game, in which he was sent off after also collecting a yellow card in the league.
At 182cm and right-footed, Peranović is built and profiled as a right-back. His career so far has been defined less by a single moment than by the pattern behind it: a club willing to lock him into a long contract early, then loan him out season after season to accumulate senior football away from Zagreb.
