About the player
Oscar Kabwit Tshikomb learned the game at the Katumbi Football Academy in Lubumbashi before his move into senior football, joining CS Don Bosco in the DR Congo Linafoot for the 2022–2023 season and making 12 appearances.
In September 2025, Kabwit moved to Switzerland, joining FC Luzern on loan from TP Mazembe, with the agreement including an option to buy. By May 2026 he had made 27 appearances for Luzern across all competitions, scoring 11 goals.
Kabwit has also broken into the DR Congo national team, making his senior debut in 2024. He has since earned seven caps, without yet opening his scoring account in FIFA-recognised fixtures, and was named in the squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The call-up to the World Cup squad stands as the most significant recognition of his rise so far, coming just over a year after his move abroad began to take shape.
