About the player
Oleksandr Nazarenko started out in the academy of Dnipro, staying with the club through his youth years before, in 2018, moving on as a free agent to Dnipro-1. In his first season at the club, 2018/19, Dnipro-1 won the Ukrainian First League, along with a monthly award in September 2018. His development continued through the following seasons, and in 2022/23 Dnipro-1 finished as runners-up in the Ukrainian championship.
In the summer of 2023, Nazarenko again left as a free agent, joining Polessya. He has since made 75 appearances, scoring 15 goals. Polessya finished the 2025/26 season with a bronze medal in the championship.
Nazarenko's rise has extended to the national team set-up as well. He has since won four caps for the senior side.
