About the player
Özgün Ali Köklü came through the Fenerbahçe academy. He started at Damla Spor in 2007, then moved to Fenerbahçe, where he went through the age groups from U14 to U19 and left in August 2016. He also played for Turkey at U18 level.
His professional debut came with Esenler Erokspor in the TFF 3. Lig in August 2017. The most regular football of his early career followed on loan at Çatalcaspor, where he made 30 league appearances in 2020–21. He then returned to Esenler Erokspor and played 16 league matches in 2021–22. That season ended in the promotion play-off final, which Esenler Erokspor lost to Van Belediyespor.
Iğdır FK signed him in June 2022, but he played there once. In July 2023 he joined Arnavutköy Belediyespor, and the TFF 2. Lig and the Ziraat Türkiye Kupası became his stage. In 2024–25 he appeared in seven league matches and one cup tie.
The 2025–26 season was one of frequent moves. He spent December to February at Kırşehir FK, then went to Çayelispor, where he stayed until July, both in the TFF 3. Lig.
Ümraniyespor signed him on 30 July 2026 on a contract running to 30 June 2027.
