Luís Manuel Gonçalves Silva

Portuguese, known as Reko, Silva plays as a midfielder for F.C. Penafiel, a club he joined on a free transfer in the summer of 2022. He is right-footed and came through the youth ranks at Gil Vicente, Sporting and Braga before starting his senior career at Braga's reserve side.

His path through Portuguese football took him from Braga B to a loan at Vilaverdense, then to Gil Vicente, where he made 52 appearances across two seasons. A move to Académica de Coimbra followed in 2018, and in 2019 he crossed into Spain to join AD Alcorcón, where he stayed for two years, making 30 appearances in total and scoring in the Copa del Rey. He returned to Académica de Coimbra in 2021 before settling at Penafiel the following year.

It is at Penafiel that Silva has become a fixture, racking up well over a hundred appearances for the club across the league and cup competitions. His scoring output has grown season by season. In August 2024, that form was recognised when he was named the II Liga's Player of the Month.
