Simon Willem Colyn

Simon Colyn joined Vancouver Whitecaps FC's academy in 2016 and signed a homegrown deal with the club in 2018, making a single first-team appearance before his career shifted to Europe through a string of loans and permanent moves. He switched to the Netherlands in August 2021, joining Jong PSV on loan and then permanently a year later. His most productive spell came at De Graafschap, where he scored 8 goals and added 8 assists across 35 appearances in the 2023–24 season. That momentum was cut short in April 2024 by a serious knee injury that kept him out until January 2025; he returned for just three appearances before leaving the club.

Colyn signed for Lyngby Boldklub on a free transfer in August 2025, putting pen to paper on a contract running to 2028.

At youth international level, Colyn captained Canada's U-17 side during the 2019 CONCACAF U-17 Championship qualifiers and finals, scoring once in four matches. He was named to Canada's provisional roster for the senior team's Copa América qualifying play-offs in February 2024, though he has not yet won a senior cap.
