S. Sider-Echenberg

Sadie Sider-Echenberg has a title few footballers can claim. She was part of the Canada women's national futsal team that won the 2025 CONCACAF Women's Futsal Championship. The indoor game runs alongside her career on the full-size pitch, where she is a midfielder for Kristianstads DFF in the Swedish Damallsvenskan.

Her football began in Ottawa, the city where she was born. She played for Ottawa United and then for the University of Ottawa Gee-Gees. She has also represented Canada at U20 level, so the national-team shirt has come in two different forms of the game: the youth side on grass and the futsal squad indoors.

The move to Sweden came in January 2026, when Sadie Batsheva Sider-Echenberg signed a two-year contract with Kristianstads DFF. She has made 19 appearances for the club and scored four goals.

Her path so far has taken in futsal, university football, club football in two countries and youth international duty. That range of settings is unusual for a player who is still early in her professional career.
