Samba Diab

He came through the youth ranks at ASEC Ndiambour before a tournament in Egypt with Senegal's youth sides caught the eye of Servette FC, who signed him in June 2022 on a three-year contract. He made his professional debut for the Swiss club that August and went on to make 38 appearances in total, 25 of them in the league, before winning the Swiss Cup in 2024.

That trophy remains the only team honour of note in his career so far. From Servette he moved to Greek side Athens Kallithea FC in August 2024, making 17 appearances before a switch to France. On 31 January 2025 he signed for Grenoble Foot 38 on a contract running until June 2028, where he now wears the number 30 shirt.

Diab has also featured for Senegal at youth level, earning two caps for the U23 side, and made the step up to the senior national team in September 2023, playing in a 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Rwanda. He has yet to score for the senior side. His stature has drawn attention beyond results on the pitch too: he was given a "TOTY Honourable Mention" card in EA Sports FC 26, a nod to his profile as an outsized presence in a defensive midfield role.
