About the player
Herceg Novi produced him, but Belgrade shaped him. Stefan Melentijević came through the Crvena zvezda academy, with a loan spell at Grafičar Beograd along the way, before stepping into senior football at FK Radnički Beograd in 2022.
That interest came from Russia. In February 2023 he signed a 3.5-year contract with FC Khimki, a move that took him first into the Russian Premier League and then, after the club's relegation, into the Russian First League.
His path since has moved quickly. A free transfer took him to Slovenia's NK Primorje in July 2025, and on 4 July 2026, he joined FK Novi Pazar in the Serbian SuperLiga on a two-year deal, again on a free transfer.
The international side of his career carries its own twist. Raised through Serbia's youth ranks, representing the country at U-16, U-18 and U-19 level and winning a title with the U-19s, he has since switched allegiance to Montenegro. At U-21 level he has made 15 appearances for Montenegro, including eight in the UEFA Euro 2027 U-21 qualifying campaign.
