About the player
Théo Chennahi grew up playing for amateur clubs around Marseille, moving from Burel FC to ASPTT Marseille and then SC Air Bel. At ASPTT he took part in the "OM Next Generation" partnership programme — instead, at the age of 13, he signed a non-solicitation agreement with Montpellier HSC, turning down interest from Monaco, Nice and Saint-Étienne along the way.
He formally joined Montpellier's academy in 2020, the same year he signed a five-year trainee contract, working his way up through the club's youth structure, including time with the U16 side. Born in Marseille, he stands 182 cm tall, is right-footed, and now wears the number 44 shirt for Montpellier as a midfielder.
