Talisca

João Pedro de Souza Borges, known as Talisca, spent roughly six and a half years coming through the youth ranks at Vitória before Palmeiras signed him for their academy in 2020. He never broke into the Palmeiras first team despite training with the senior squad, but his time with the club's under-20 side produced results: he won the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior twice, in 2022 and 2023, and took the Campeonato Paulista Sub-20 title in both 2020 and 2023.

His senior career took a more winding route. A short spell at Jacuipense preceded his move to Palmeiras, and after leaving the São Paulo club he went abroad for the first time, joining Alverca B in the Portuguese Campeonato de Portugal for the 2024/2025 season. He returned to Brazil in January 2026, rejoining Jacuipense and featuring across the Campeonato Baiano, the Copa do Nordeste and the Copa do Brasil.

In July 2026 Talisca moved to Europe again, this time on a free transfer to FK Liepāja in the Latvian Virsliga. The defender, who plays with a left foot according to some assessments though Transfermarkt lists him as right-footed, has settled into the side as it sits fourth in the table. He has picked up one yellow card in his debut season at the club and has not yet added to his trophy collection in Latvia.

At 188cm and 83kg, Talisca has not been capped at senior level by Brazil.
