About the player
Thibault Rambaud did not come up through a big academy. He left Chamois Niortais's youth ranks in 2015 and dropped into regional football with Bressuire, a spell that ran four seasons and yielded 25 goals in 74 league appearances.
A move to Le Mans followed, first with the reserve side and then a first-team stint in 2019–2020, though senior action stayed limited to a single Coupe de la Ligue appearance. Spells at Vannes OC and then Canet Roussillon gave him a fuller run of games: across two seasons in Roussillon he scored 19 goals in 53 appearances, with ten of those coming in National 2 in 2022–2023 alone.
His scoring form travelled with him. At GOAL FC in 2023–2024 he added six league goals, and at US Boulogne the following season he became the club's top scorer in National with 11 goals in 28 league matches, plus two outings in Ligue 2. That campaign included a hat-trick against Le Mans in September 2024, the standout individual moment of his career so far.
That run of form led to his move to FC Annecy on a free transfer in June 2025, on a three-year contract. He has not been capped by France at any level, and arrives at Annecy carrying the same profile that got him there.
