About the player
Ular Zhaksybaev is a product of Ordabasy's youth system, and his career has been a long circuit back to where it started. He began his professional path there in 2015, but the years that followed took him through a string of clubs — BIIK Kazygurt, Kaysar, Ordabasy-2, Baykonur, Kyrán, Aksu and Kyzyl-Zhar — before he returned to Ordabasy in 2025.
Twice with Ordabasy he collected a bronze medal in the Kazakhstan Premier League. His time at Aksu produced a different kind of recognition: he was named winner of the Best Goal award for May 2022.
The international call-up came relatively late. Zhaksybaev made his debut for Kazakhstan on 10 October 2024 against Austria in the UEFA Nations League, and by September 2025 he had earned five caps, appearing across Nations League fixtures, friendlies and World Cup 2026 qualifiers.
Ular Zhaksybaev was born in Shymkent.
