About the player
Zsombor Papp spent his first senior season in the NB III without missing a league start. After his debut for Gyirmót FC Győr in July 2025, he started all 17 of the club's league matches in 2025/26.
His youth football began at Puskás Akadémia in the 2018/19 season. He then spent 2020/21 at ETO FC Győr, and from there he moved to the youth system at Gyirmót. He played for the club's U17 side in 2023/24 and for Gyirmót FC Győr II the following year, before the first team gave him his debut.
In February 2026, Kisvárda announced they had signed him, and the move was completed in July 2026. Kisvárda bought out his contract from Gyirmót. The fee was not disclosed, but Gyirmót's sport director called it a significant financial recognition for the club.
At Kisvárda, Papp has so far been named among the substitutes in NB I matches in 2026.
