The one title that sits at the top of the honours board came in the United Counties League Premier Division, won in 2014–15, with the League Knockout Cup taken the same year. It opened the door to the Southern League Premier Central, where the club settled by 2018.

When that club went into liquidation, a group of supporters calling themselves SaveRDFC formed a new one within months, in July 2011, and put it in the fans' hands under the motto "One Fan, One Vote, One Community". Everything else, including a place in the United Counties League's bottom division, had to be won back from scratch.

Tom Lorraine stands apart in that rebuilding as the phoenix club's all-time top scorer, and Michael Harriman ran the side as player-manager through 2023 to 2025.

Games against Kettering Town, the Northants Derby, remain the fixture that sharpens attention at Hayden Road.
